Advanced training costs time and money. If you want to become a master craftsman, technician, educator or business administrator, you are out of work for months at a time and cannot finance your living independently during this time.
To support this professional phase, there is the Aufstiegs-BAföG. The conditions are extremely attractive. There is a subsidy of up to 75% for the costs of further training. Depending on income and assets, there is also an entitlement to a living allowance for full-time training courses – and this does not have to be paid back.
