Renewable energies Offers and help

A sustainable economic factor with a history and a future

North Frisia has energy – in the form of sun, wind and biomass as well as other sustainable energy sources. Here on the West Coast, there are not only many plants for energy generation, but also construction, planning, production, supply, financing and organization of accessories.

Projects

The Schleswig-Holstein North Sea coast is Germany’s future location for renewable energies. Experts, researchers, creative minds and energy enthusiasts are shaping a highly innovative energy system from existing resources.

To pool their expertise, the districts of North Friesland, Dithmarschen, Steinburg and Pinneberg founded the umbrella brand and platform “Energy Coast“.

The aim is to strengthen the existing economy, attract new companies and skilled workers and create a striking image for the business location.

North Friesland is a pioneer in the use of renewable energies and the implementation of community energy projects. Schleswig-Holstein wants to completely decarbonize its economy and become the first climate-neutral industrial state.

The “Climate-neutral economy NF” project aims to supplement this process with measures tailored to North Friesland.

The aim is to show how decarbonization can succeed in a rural region characterized by small and medium-sized, craft and tourism businesses, taking into account all aspects of sustainability and involving citizens.

The aim of the project is to research the basis, needs and demand for the development of a transnational German-Danish knowledge center for biomass.

It promotes the exchange of knowledge and potential as well as the investigation of structural and technical processes. A particular focus is on creating a strong network across borders and promoting the utilization of biomass to support business activities and green transformation.

The project involves a comprehensive exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of biomass from agriculture and waste management. The focus here is on efficient energy generation from the organic fraction, as well as on increasing the appreciation of organic resources.

The project brings together stakeholders from the German and Danish biogas and waste management industries to strengthen cooperation and sustainable development in the region.

The project is funded by Interreg 6A Deutschland-Danmark https://www.interreg-de-dk.eu/.

The one-year PKP short project runs from 1.09.2023 to 31.08.2024.
